After fulfilling the need of additional staff and office space, demand from the public led the firm to incorporate and add the traditional negotiated method of marketing as well.

Being the first real estate marketing firm in the area to offer multiple forms of marketing set Our Country Auction & Realty, Inc. (OCAR) apart from all the others. Today, several other area firms have followed pursuit.

Traditionally, Realtors viewed Real Estate Auctioneers as competitors (and vise-versa) and wanted nothing to do with each other. By OCAR taking the initiative to combine and offer both methods of marketing under one roof has educated both segments as to advantages and disadvantages of each. No one method of marketing is best for all situations. More and more aggressive Realtors are now realizing that the auction method of marketing is a vital tool in their tool chest.
